You clean your whole house with 1 plant based immune boosting cleaner? Yep.

You clean your whole house with 1 plant based immune boosting cleaner? Yep.

Wait a second. Seriously?

Yep. Sure do.

1 cleaner and 4 common household items - vinegar, baking soda, dish soap, and alcohol. Which honestly, I don't even need. I just want a little more scrubbing power because I don't clean as often as I should.

Why? Because Thieves is super concentrated and the bottle lasts forever! It is plant based and simplifies under my cabinet. I get rid of all the other cleaners and just have 1. And it is good for me. All the cleaners we grew up with.... SO BAD FOR US! Literally killing us. So get rid of them. Please.

Ok, now I know you want to know more about the how. So here goes.

This is what I clean with the Thieves Household Cleaner

  • Light clean (3 cups water to 1 TB cleaner): Windows, walls, blinds, baseboards, furniture, railings

  • Medium clean (2 cups water to 1 TB cleaner): Refrigerator, doors/knobs, floors, vents/light switches, countertops, toilets (I add a little baking soda for extra scrub sometimes), toys, washer machine, and dishwasher.

  • Heavy clean (1 cup water to 1 TB cleaner): Oven/Stovetop, pots/pans, range hood, carpet/upholstery stains, window tracts, laundry stains, car rims and if you have one, your microwave.

The only thing I mix up a little more scrubbing power for are my sinks, my tub, and my granite gets a special spray. I still use Young Living products with them though!

The sinks wipe clean with this scrub and my tub (which gets NASTY, don't judge) which I don't like to scrub, gets this mixture, which allows me to just wipe clean! Warning, the vinegar when hot gets strong for your nose!

  • Sinks:

    • 1/4 cup Thieves Cleaner

    • 1 Cup baking soda

    • 1 tsp white vinegar

    • 10 drops each Lemon & Pine essential oils

      • Add all the liquids together and slowly incorporate with baking soda.

      • Use a TB when scrubbing sinks and gunk will just wipe away!

  • Tub:

    • 1/2 cup hot vinegar

    • 1/2 cup Young Living thieves dish soap (diluted 1-4 ratio)

      • Heat up the vinegar and add to a spray bottle.

      • Add a few squirts of soap and close the lid when you are in the bathroom.

      • Spray all over and let sit 20 min or more.

      • If it doesn't just wipe down, make the concoction again and repeat, letting it sit for 20 more minutes until it just wipes down.

  • Granite Counters:

    • 1/4 cup alcohol

    • 3 drops each Geranium, Eucalyptus & Rosemary EO

    • Squirt of Young Living Thieves dish soap

    • Fill the rest with distilled water

      • Use when needed.

You can clean your sinks, tub, and granite with thieves also. Again, I just really don't like scrubbing and love how the other concoctions take away the need to use my muscles. Although maybe I shouldn't...

And there you have it. I clean all the things with 1 cleaner and essential oils. Remember not all essential oils are created equal! I only use Young Living even for cleaning! And my kiddo can get into any of it and it won't harm him! Woohoo! I am not sure if that, or the fact that I am boosting my immune system when I clean is my favorite part. Because the cleaning itself is not my fav.

If you have an account with, you can actually order Thieves household cleaner and Thieves dish soap on your next order!
